Hey thanks for downloading our record. It really means a lot to us, and we hope you're blessed by it! Proto is defunct (we're each serving at different churches now), yet this post-humous release is the strongest in our hearts.

I've felt that most worship music captures one side of our heart with God, but often leaves out another side, a side that the Psalmists get right. It's the side of our worship that's somber, even sorrowful as we come to God.

With My Heart Has Spoken, we hoped to emote the sobriety we feel in saying "Hallelujah" or "Let me hide myself in thee" or "At Jesus' word my knees will bend." It's serious business!

Proto Evangelion Seattle, Washington

"Proto Evangelion" in Greek means "First Gospel". It is a term used to describe this verse in the Bible: "I will put enmity between your seed and her seed; you shall strike his heel, but He shall crush your head" (Genesis 3:15).
